Chapter 7

Kongar hurriedly opened Emine's door and put Hayal on the bed. Emine looked annoyed at him, worried for her friend, and surprised at how easily she was in his arms. Then she realized that she wasn't even awake, barely if she was. "What happened to her?" Emine asked. "Her wound starting hurting a lot so I brought her here..." Kongar said quietly. "Ok! Aren't you going to call a doctor or something?" Emine said sternly. "Uhm... yes," he replied and went out the door quickly, slamming the door so loud behind him that Hayal was awake now.

"Where am I? What happened to me?" Hayal asked in a low voice. "Hayal! Thank God you're awake," Emine said. "What happened?" Hayal said carefully getting up. "That Kongar brought you here. I was surprised at how comfortable you were, then I saw that you were sleeping," Emine said. "Um.." Hayal was interrupted by the door opening. She saw Kongar coming in with a nurse. He looked relieved to see her awake and fine. "Uhm... are you feeling better?" Kongar asked. Hayal side-glared up at him but didn't say anything. "Soldiers, take Emine Hatun to Balgay. And take the doctor away," he said in a calm tone. "What do you know! He doesn't always scream when he talks," Hayal muttered under her breath in an annoyed tone. Now they were alone. He stepped up to her and sat down a foot away from her. He put his hand on top of hers but Hayal was frozen. She didn't move her hand. It was as if she had frozen in time. "I hope you are feeling better cicek" he said softly. "Now, Osman Bey nerede?" he asked. Hayal turned her head to look at him. "It's none of your business where he is!" Hayal shouted, being careful not to reveal their sibling link. She stood up, bringing his hand with her. She dropped it and he stood up. "I will ask you one last time. Where is Osman?" he asked. Hayal didn't respond this time.

She kicked him in the stomach and took her dagger out. She was about to stab him when he grabbed her wrist. "Well, what do you know? She can fight," he muttered. She didn't care anymore. Hayal took her other hand and attempting to punch him, but he was too fast. Kongar grabbed her other wrist and pulled her towards him. "Birak beni!" Hayal shouted, but he didn't respond. She tried to get free by kicking him in the stomach again. It worked. She was finally free and he was whining in pain from getting kicked twice. "This is what you get if you mess with me," Hayal said proudly.

She was about to run away when she was stopped by the pain of her wound, again. She flinched back and realized that she had to stop fighting before her wound became a bigger problem for her. She stopped, laid down on the bed, closed her eyes, and imagined that nothing just happened.

"Ahh, the Seljuk Sultan's daughter Emine Hatun. I know a lot more about you than you think," Balgay commented. "I don't care what you know about me. Why did you call me here?" "I called you to give you some important news, Sultan kiz," Balgay said in between cackles. "Well then hurry up say it you bastard!" Emine shot back. "Tamam tamam," Balgay said sarcastically. "I have your father in captivity, and his life depends on you," he said. "No, it can't be! YOU MONSTERS! RELEASE MY FATHER NOW!" she yelled at him. "I will do that if you abide with the rules little girl," he said to her in a fake soft voice. "I'm not a 'little girl', talk to me with respect! And tell me what you want from me!" "I want your tribe to bow down to me and I'm giving you the job of doing it. Otherwise, say bye-bye to your father. In fact, soldiers, take her to show her her father," he said, trying to sound merciful. "If anything happens to my father, I shall be the end of you!" she said to him as the soldiers led the way. They led her outside to a cage where her father sat down in a horrible state.

"Baba?" Emine cried, tears pouring out. "Kizim? Sen ne işin var burada?" Emine's father, Sultan Ahmed Giyasah. "I'm here to see you baba! Are you okay?" she asked. "I'm okay, sen merak etme," he replied.  "Ok baba, as long as you are okay, I will be okay," Emine said, sobbing hard. "How are you? I haven't seen you in years Emine," "I'm ok baba. The tribe is standing but they have lost their place. How are you, ana, and my siblings doing?"Ahmed looked around before giving an answer. He leaned in and said "They are doing well. I'm going to send Aaqir, Saladin, Emel, and Ilkay to the tribe secretly. DO NOT tell anyone about this, understand?" "Yes, baba," Emine whispered. "My soldiers are coming to save me, don't worry." "Okay. What about ana? Gelecek misin?" "Unfortunately, no. She is in hiding and wants to stay in hiding," he said. "Okay. I think I should go before they force me out. I miss you baba. I hope to see you soon when we are in a better position. Stay safe," was all that Emine could force out of herself. She had many other questions like where is her mother, how did this happen and when her siblings come, but she had to put it all aside to make her father happy.

Emine quietly left and went back to the room where Hayal was. She was fast asleep on the bed and turned a little bit. Kongar was still in the room but he was sleeping against the wall, more like passed out. "What is this dog doing here?" Emine mumbled under her breath. She went past him quietly and tapped Hayal lightly on the shoulder. "Hayal, come on let's go," Emine whispered. Hayal got up slowly and looked around. "Don't ask what happened, let's go!"  Emine whisper yelled.  Kongar was waking up very slowly. Hayal was hesitant on whether to go with her or to stay here and play sleeping. She took the chance and ran out the door with Emine but, not after playing a plan. Kongar woke up a few minutes later and looked like a lost lion. "Where are you cicek, weren't you here?" he wondered aloud. "Like I was in your dreams, Kongar," Hayal snapped. She had tied him to the bench in the room. He tried to get up but was stuck to the bench. "Cicek, let me go!" Kongar yelped. "I won't let you go or get you free. Get unstuck yourself," Hayal shot back and went out of the room. "SOLDIERS! HELP ME GET OUT OF HERE!" he yelled, but no one came to help. He was trying his best to strangle himself free, but he had no hope. "I really should have just left you to suffer in pain," he mumbled to himself.

"What did you do that he is screaming like a maniac?" Emine asked in amazement. "I tied him to the bench. Now let's get out of here before someone finds us," Hayal said, turning to leave when she saw a Mongol soldier. They backed off a little. He pulled off his headgear and they were all relieved to see Osman Bey. "Hayal. You look like you won a war," he remarked. "I tied Kongar to the bench where he was keeping me captive," his sister responded proudly. "Ehhh, that's my sister!" he said proudly, but with a little hesitance in his voice. Hayal didn't notice and simply bowed her head a little in respect. "Osman Bey, Hayal, I need to show you something. Follow me," Emine said in a low tone. They followed her. She led him to her father and his eyes widened in shock. "Sultan'im! Kim yaptin?" Osman asked. "The Mongols took me captive. I need to tell you something which you cannot tell anyone else. Emine already knows this. I trust all three of you to keep this secret. The only person you can tell, if she comes that is, is your mother Halime Sultan," The sultan explained. He explained to them the whole situation before telling them to leave before they get caught. While looking around, Hayal caught Kongar's eye. So he finally got free did he? I'll teach that Kongar a lesson, Hayal said in her mind. "Abi, we should get out of here quickly," Hayal said, glancing at Kongar. He quickly got on his horse and rode to catch up to Balgay. Osman nodded, looking at Kongar and the three quickly rushed over to the nearest exit.

The drums were beating in the Kayi Obasi. Everyone's hearts were beating out. Was it the Mongols or was it someone else? They all looked at each other, surprised and happy. The people in the marquee were wondering who was so important that came. They all looked in front of them see someone they hadn't seen in months.

They looked and saw Halime Sultan.

A/N: Dun Dun DUNNNNNN. Halime Sultan is here! I decided that in the next chapters I'm going to add a lot of things that don't happen in the show (and I mean A LOT). Hope you enjoyed!
