Chapter 3
"part 3" of episode 10
"Welcome again, Alisar Bey." The Sheikh said and Selcan's eyes went wide in surprise. Alisar's eyes darted straight to Bala and she stared back in complete disapproval. Selcan saw Alisar staring at Bala and she gave Selcan a 'help, get me out of this' look. Selcan nodded and she quickly tried to change the topic. "What brings you to the bazaar, Alisar bey?" Hayal asked harshly. "I am here to check up on everything, after all, I'm the Sanjak Bey," Alisar bragged. "if you came to check up on the bazaar, why have you come to our place and not acknowledging the others around you? After all, this is a bazaar and we are not the only ones here." the Sheikh replied. Alisar was taken aback, he had never heard him talk like this. "Are you forbidding me from visiting your shop?" Alisar asked. "We know why you are here, Alisar bey. Please, don't make the situation more complicated than it already is." Sheikh Edebali said politely. Alisar was infuriated, Selcan was as confused as ever, and the girls, Hayal, Emine, Bala, and Gonca, were waiting for the moment to tell him to get the heck out of here. "HOW DARE YOU SPEAK TO ME LIKE THAT!" Alisar bellowed. " I AM YOUR SANJAK BEY AND YOU HAVE TO SPEAK TO ME WITH RESPECT! YOU AND THIS BAZAAR WOULDN'T BE STANDING WITHOUT ME! KNOW YOUR PLACE SHEIKH EDEBALI!!" He shouted. "We are standing here because of Allah, Alisar bey. Always know this," he said back in response and turned to walk back to his shop. Alisar looked like he was about to start screaming. "AHHHHHH!! YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS EDEBALI!!!" and he turned around to leave. "Nizamettin, prepare to raid this place, no one should be left alive, NO ONE!!" He bellowed again. "As you order, Alisar bey. I will assign my most trusted and special people to complete this task." Nizamettin said with a smirk. "Actually, no. I have a better plan." Alisar said after some deep thought. "What is it, bey?" "The Mongols are coming here in a few days, they will want to come and capture Edebali as well. We will talk to their leader and ask if we can blend in with them. Then, we will take the opportunity to kill him there." Alisar said proudly. "B-but bey, won't our relationship with the Mongols come to an end." "Asla Nizamettin, asla. If the Mongols end their relationship with us, they will start falling through the cracks. They need me Nizamettin, they need me. Let's hurry up, we need to start the preparations." "As you order, bey," and they were off.
"What was that all about?" Selcan asked. She was more than confused after hearing their conversation. "Alisar... w-wants my...h-hand in...m-marriage."Bala stuttered. Selcan's eyes went wide and her mouth fell open. "Soysus, as if the tribal problems weren't enough and all, he wants to marry you!? That is completely unacceptable." Selcan shouted. "I'm scared about what would happen if my Osman hears about this," Bala said quietly. Selcan put a hand on her shoulder, "It's better if we tell my Osman, he will know how to deal with this." Selcan said calmly. "If you want, I can tell him," Hayal offered. "Thanks, but I think I should tell him myself," Bala said with a reassuring smile. "As you wish Bala. Inshallah, we can settle this." Hayal said and smiled back. "Thanks again, but, where can I find him?" Bala asked. "Don't worry about that. I know where he is." Hayal said and Bala's smile grew wider.
"Where are we going bey'im?" Konur asked as Osman was preparing his horse to leave. "We are going to our cave. Make sure no one is following us. I have a small fear that the Mongols are about to attack the tribe by the way Alisar was talking. We need to make preparations for this. Boran, go to the port bazaar and tell Hayal to come back tomorrow. Emine can voice her option. If you meet our Sheikh, give him my Selam," Osman said, saying his last sentence quietly. He was in a small conflict with him and he didn't want to get into much trouble with him. He is trying to avoid seeing him if he can. " Eyvallah bey'im" Boran answered back. They got on their horses and were off. Batur saw them going and was curious about where they were going. He went to the marquee. "Do I have permission to enter, bey baba?" he asked. "Of course my son." and he entered. He pressed his palm to his chest, the traditional Turkish greeting. "Baba, I saw Osman and his alps leaving the tribe. With your permission, I would like to go after them." "No son. It's too dangerous for you to be wandering around alone. I have scout alps around the forest, they will come and inform me. Tamam oğlu?" he asked reassuringly. "Ok, baba," he said and turned around to leave. I will be with you wherever you go, and will chase you around until your death Osman, he thought.
"Can I go back to the tribe, pleassseeee?" Hayal and Emine begged. "You can go Emine, but Osman Bey wants you at the cave by tomorrow Hayal, and you can't deny his orders," Boran said sternly. "Fine, as my ağabey orders," Hayal said, half giggling. The shop door opened and Gonca came out. Boran's eyes met hers and after a few minutes, Boran and Gonca both looked away. Emine saw the stare between them and her heart sank. She knew she wouldn't win over his heart. "I should get going. See you soon bacılar," he said and got on his horse to leave. Emine stared at him the whole time, but after what she saw, she was out of hope. Hayal immediately picked up that something was wrong, she had the same look that she had when she was coming here. "Emine, is everything ok?" Hayal asked. "N-no. Nothing is wrong," and she wiped away her tears. "Your eyes are clearly telling it Emine. I won't tell anyone about it unless you want me to. Is it Boran? I saw you looking at him." Hayal said calmly, "And don't tell me that I'm lying. I clearly saw it." Hayal pointed a finger at her annoyingly and Emine laughed. "Fine, I'll tell you. But first, can we go somewhere with privacy? I'm not sharing everything in front of everyone... and we are NOT going inside, and I'll explain why." Emine said sarcastically and grabbed Hayal's arm. She pulled her into the back alley. Tears started to pour down. "What's wrong Emine? Tell me everything from the start." Hayal demanded. "When h-he came to the tribe with you and I saw him, i-it struck my heart. The whole way to the bazaar, I was full of hope and thought that there would be a chance for h-him to be m-mine. B-but I-I was clearly wrong and now I'm out of hope and you know the rest of the story," she buried her face into Hayal's shoulder crying her heart out. "Shh... it's ok. This happens to people sometimes where they have to fight for the people they... l-love," she hesitated for a moment. She had never said 'love' in years and was now hating herself for saying it. "I mean... I have no experience but..." "Come onnn. I know that you will fall in love someday, just you wait and see." Emine interrupted. "Problem is, it's never going to happen...never," Hayal muttered to herself.
"Bey, I delivered the message to both of them," Boran reported. "Good," Osman replied. "But, bey, Hayal really wanted to go to the tribe, but I told her that you need to see her," Boran said quietly. "It's ok. I had another plan for her, but I a change of plans. Hayal will still come to the cave, but she will also go to the tribe," Osman said, smiling. "My little sister. She will never stop being feisty," he said to himself. "Ah, what about Emine?" Osman asked. "She said that she will go to the tribe as well," Boran said. "Good. They can be our eyes and ears in the tribe. We need to know everything that is going on there, especially with Alisar coming and going," Osman said. "You are right bey. You are right." "Eyvallah Boran."
"What were you guys talking about out there?" Bala asked curiously. "Nothing really. Osman had a message to give to us," Hayal replied. "Really? What was it?" Bala's eyes lit up on Osman's name. "Me and Emine will have to go tomorrow. But we will come back soon Inshallah." "Oh, ok. We had so much fun together. I wish you didn't have to go." "I know. But before we leave, I have something to talk about. Don't tell this to Emine or Gonca though please." "Tamam, I won't. Now tell me already." "I am telling you because you have experience in this Bala. Gonca and Boran l-love each other and Emine l-loves him. But because of what happened today, Emine has lost her hope and I'm afraid of her going crazy because of this. When I talked to her about it, she was crying really hard. I don't know how big of a problem this may become. We can talk to Selcan Ana about this as well," Hayal explained. "I think it is best that we keep it to ourselves right now," Bala said. Hayal sighed, "Well, it's getting late, shouldn't we get to sleep now?" "I guess, iyi geceler Hayal." "iyi geceler Bala." Hayal got into deep thought. Why was she all of a sudden showing so much interest in love problems when she had no idea about it? She shook her head in disgust at the thought but it kept coming back to her. She realized something she probably would never ever realize.
She was now susceptible to falling in love.
A/N: Hello you guys! I hope you enjoyed this chapter (I honestly loved writing about Alisar getting so mad). I'm trying to make the chapters nice but I am definitely not the greatest author. The next chapters will be about "tomorrow" and almost everything will happen "tomorrow" so... yeah.
