SYA Chapter 2
"part 2" of episode 10
"Emine" Hayal called out. "Emine, are you there" "Yes I'm here, give me one second" Emine groaned. She came out, all dressed up. "Where are you going so dressed up?" Hayal asked. "Nowhere, I just want to be dressed up. Anyway, why are you here?" "We are going to the port bazaar, Osman Bey said so. We have to go in complete secrecy, we also have to pack some clothes and things for ourselves because we will be staying there for a while. Do you understand me?" "Yes, but can I go like this" "No. You'll attract way too much attention." "Fine. Let's go then." They changed and departed for their journey. When they reached the crossroads, they found some unexpected company there. It was Zohre, Burcin, and Aygul all together, supposedly picking flowers. "What are you three doing here?" Emine barked. "The bigger question is where are you two going?" Zohre scoffed. Before Emine could blurt everything out and put themselves in trouble, Hayal responded " We have a job to do so we are going to do that. If you allow us, we should get going." Hayal responded with nothing but annoyedness in her tone. The two girls reared up their horses and were on their way. Aygul and Burcin stood there like they were offended. "Are we going to go after them, Zohre Ana?" Burcin asked. "Hayir. Let them do what they want, let's mind our own business." Zohre snapped back. While Emine and Hayal were approaching the Butterfly Fields, they had an unexpected guest again, but this time, their company was good. It was Selcan Hatun. "Selcan Ana! When did you get here?" Emine asked in shock. While Emine and Selcan were having a conversation, Hayal noticed something. She noticed that Emine was talking more than she usually does. She snapped out of her thoughts when Selcan called her name. "Haydi kizim, we shouldn't be late." "Tamam Ana, Tamam," Hayal muttered. She wanted to bring this up to Emine, but there was no time for them to lose.

" How are you ağabey? Do you feel better?" Osman anxiously asked. He wanted to know who was behind this and he wanted to know how he was feeling. He had a slight feeling that Alisar was behind this, the only problem was that he couldn't prove it. After 10 minutes of Osman sitting and thinking about what to do, Gunduz's eyes fluttered open. Everyone jumped up and rushed over with happiness, thanking Allah that he was awake. "Kardas?" "Ağabey?" They both rejoiced that they were together. Osman helped Gunduz sit up. " How did this happen ağabey? Did you see those who did this?" Osman asked, flooding Gunduz with non-stop questions on how it happened. "Gunduz, did you see who did this to you?" Ayse hatun asked calmly. She didn't want to trouble him because he was recovering. "I-I didn't see. They just shot me. But, they were Turk arrows." Gunduz said, heavily breathing. " Who has the courage to do this to my brother? I will find him and kill him with my own hands." with that Osman stood up and started walking towards the entry. "Osman. Yapma kardaş. I don't want you to get in trouble because of me." Gunduz coughed out. "So what am I supposed to do? Let the people who hurt my big brother roam around freely? I can't do that ağabey. Your loss and your pain is my pain too. Let me go after them." Osman protested. " No brother. I can't let them do the same to you. How about this, when I get better, you and I both go out to find those dogs and kill them. Sound good?" Gunduz countered. "Tamam Tamam," Osman said and threw his hands up in defeat. Everyone started laughing at Osman's childish behavior, including himself. Suddenly, the drums started beating. "Hayir Olsun Inshallah." Dundar bey said. They started getting up and out of the tent and Gunduz tried to get up too. But, Ayse forced him to sit back down, and she sat down next to him. When they opened the doors, they saw Alisar making his way to the marquee with his soldiers. "Here comes all the trouble," Osman muttered under his breath, low enough so that no one heard. On the other hand, Dundar had the biggest smile on his face. Osman wondered why they were here, so he decided to ask Dundar. "Emmi, why are they here?" Osman asked with wonderment. "To ask for my Aygul's hand of course!" he exclaimed. Osman froze. Not that he cared about her but he was shocked at how Dundar can make such a big decision. Alisar walked up to the marquee with a big fake smile plastered across his face. He pressed his hand to his chest in a fist and Dundar responded by pressing his palm to his chest. "Welcome, Alisar Bey. Please, after you." Alisar bey pushed the doors open and headed straight for the bey's seat. Osman was infuriated, but he stayed quiet. "So, what has happened in the midst of my absence. Anything new for me to know and for you to report?" Alisar asked like he was the boss of everyone. Because he was Sanjak bey, he had some sort of power that made him think that he has to know everything that is going on. Gunduz and Osman didn't care about him a bit, but Dundar was ready to be his dog on a leash. "Nothing new, Alisar Bey. We are just waiting for another calamity to fall on top of us." Osman sarcastically said. He didn't want to tell him about Gunduz as he feels that he was the one who did this. But of course, Dundar can never keep his mouth shut and he always trusts Alisar, so he went ahead and told him about Gunduz. But he surprisingly doesn't tell the whole truth." Gunduz is in a bad condition. We are just hoping that he makes it." Dundar said. "Oh, well may he get better soon. Also, as your Sanjak Bey, I came to warn you that the Mongols may be attacking your tribe. I want you to know that you will have my full support against them." Alisar lied. Osman knew that he was lying. The Seljuk state was basically a Mongol state now so he would not try to stop them at all unless he had the slightest bit of mercy in him. "Thank you, Alisar Bey," Dundar said with a proud smile on his face. Osman had to get out of here. "If you excuse me, bey, I would like to go tend to my horse," Osman said in the broadest manner. "Go ahead, Osman bey," Alisar said with a wicked smile. Osman got up and left the tent.

"Thank you so much for coming, kizlar. We would appreciate the help." Sheikh Edebali said. "It's no problem Sheikh'im. We are always ready to help." Hayal said with a big smile. She wasn't really into these things, but she only came out of respect, to help protect the bazaar, and to see Bala and Gonca. Emine and Hayal walked inside to see their two friends working. Selcan hatun had stayed outside to help the Sheikh. "Hayal? Emine?" Gonca exclaimed. Bala looked up with a big smile on her face. They stopped their work and walked over to hug their friends. "How's it going?" Hayal asked. "It's going good, Alhamdulillah, how are things going in your tribe?" Bala asked. "It's going well. Alisar just won't stop bugging us though every time he comes, he brings some new calamity. I hope that we can overcome these troubles." Hayal said. Bala and Gonca exchanged looks, they knew exactly what she was talking about. "About that... Alisar came to talk to my father and me." Bala said hesitantly. " Allah Allah, what does he want from all of us?" Emine wondered. "From the way he spoke to me and my father, apparently he wants to marry me," Bala said sounding very worried. "WHAT!?!" Hayal and Emine said in unison. "I know, I can't believe it myself. Just please, don't tell Osman about this. Who knows what he'll do, not that I really care though." "Bala," Gonca gave her that annoying look, and Bala gave it back to her. Then they heard some horse footsteps outside. They went outside to see Alisar coming towards their shop, again.
This was just the beginning of all their problems.
